Head

The head is at the top of the guitar and is where the pegs and strings attach.

Body

The body is the source of the full sound of the guitar

This is where the sound comes out. Actually the sound goes in first and then is amplified by the body inside and then comes out.

A regular guitar has 6 strings. But some have as many as 12!

This is where the guitar is tuned by turning the pegs which tighten or loosen the strings which raises or lowers the pitch.

This is where the finger are place to form the notes and chords.

These are sections so that the player can identify where his or her fingers should go.

The strings set here in small grooves so that they do not move when the guitar is played.

This is where the strings attach at the bottom of the guitar.
